Otrivine-Antistin

What is it?

A sympathomimetic and antihistamine preparation available as drops containing 0.05% xylometazoline hydrochloride and 0.5% antazoline sulphate.

Medical Uses

Allergic conjunctivitis.

Dosage

Adults, 1 to 2 drops 2 to 3 times each day into affected eye(s); elderly and children aged over 5 years, 1 drop2 to 3 times each day.

Special Care

Dry eyes, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid gland, diabetes.

Avoid Use

Children under 5 years, wearers of contact lenses, narrow angle glaucoma.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Clonidine.

Known Side Effects

Drowsiness, short-lived stinging, headache, blurred vision.
