What is it?

A svmpathomimetic available as nasal drops containing 0.1% xylometazoline hydrochloride. Also, OTRIVINE SPRAY, containing 0.1% xylometazoline hydrochloride. Also, OTRIVINE CHILDREN'S NASAL DROPS, containing 0.05% xylometazoline hydrochloride.

Medical Uses

Stuffy nose and congestion of nasal passages.

Dosage

Adults, 2 to 3 drops or 1 spray into each side of nose, 2 to 3 times each day. Children, using paediatric drops, aged over 3 months, 1 to 2 drops in each side of nose once or twice each days

Special Care

Pregnancy.

Avoid Use

Children aged under 3 months, continuous use for more than1 week.

Known Side Effects

Headache, irritation of nose, rapid heartbeat.
