Oxivent

What is it?

An antimusearinic bronchodilator delivering 100µg oxitropium bromide per dose by me tered dose inhaler. Also, OXIVENT AUTOHALER delivering 100µg oxitropium bromide per dose by breath-actuated metered dose aerosol.

Medical Uses

Obstructive lung disease, asthma.

Dosage

Adults, 2 puffs 2 or 3 times each day.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, patients with enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, avoid contact with eyes.

Avoid Use

Children.

Known Side Effects

Dry mouth, nausea, headache. irritation of throat, systemic (internal, whole body) anticholinergic effects. If cough or wheezing develops, drug should be withdrawn.
