Paradote

What is it?

An analgesic and antidote, available as film-coated, capsule- shaped, white tablets containing 500mg of paracetamol and 100mg of methionine.

Medical Uses

Feverish and painful disorders and to protect against liver damage in the event of overdose.

Dosage

Adults, 2 tablets at 4 hour intervals to a maximum dose of 8 in 24 hours.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, serious kidney disease.

Avoid Use

Children, liver disease.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Maois, levodopa.
