Polytar Liquid

What is it?

An antipsoriatic preparation available as a liquid containing 0.3% tar, 0.3% cade oil, 0.1% coal tar, 0.35 arachis oil extract of coal tar and 1% oleyl alcoho1.A1so, POLYTAR PLUS, containing the same constituents with the addition of 3% polypeptide. Also, POLYTARAF, a shampoo containing 0.35 tar, 0.3% cade oil, 0.3% arachis oil extract of coal tar and 1% zinc pyrithione. Also, POLYTAR EMOLLIENT, containing 7.5% tar, 7.5% cade oil, 2.5% coal tar, 7.5% arachis oil extract of coal tar, 35% light liquid paraffin.

Medical Uses

Polytar liquid, Polytar Plus, PolytarAF, dandruff, itching scalp psoriasis, serborrhoeic dermatitis. Polytar Emollient, eczema, contact, infective, atopic and itchy dermatoses.

Dosage

Polytar liquid and Polytar Plus, use as shampoo once or twice each week. Polytar AF, use as shampoo 2 to 3 times each week for at least 3 weeks. Polytar emollient, mix 2 to 4 capfuls with bath water and immerse for 15 to 20 minutes; pat skin dry.
