Propaderm
What is it?
A potent topical steroid prepartion available as cream or ointment containing 0.025% beclomethasone dipropionate.
Medical Uses
Inflammatory skin conditions responsive to steroids, including dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, discoid erythematosus, lichen simplex, intertrigo.
Dosage
Apply thinly to affected area twice each day.
Special Care
Should not be used on face or on children for more than 5 days. Should he stopped gradually.
Avoid Use
Children aged under 4 years, prolonged or extensive use especially pregnant women or continual use as a preventative. Should not be used to treat acne, leg ulcers, scabies, per-- oral dermatitis, tuberculous skin conditions, skin disorders caused by viruses, ringworm, any untreated bacterial or fungal skin infections.
Known Side Effects
Thinning of skin, adrenal gland suppression, hair growth, Cushingeid type symptoms (Cushing's syndrome).
