Prostin VR

What is it?

A prostaglandin preparation available as an alcoholic solution in ampoules for infusion containing 0.5mg of alprostadil per ml.

Medical Uses

Maintenance treatment of ductus nrteriosus (a blood vessel in the foetus which takes blood from the pulmonary artery to the aorta, bypassing the lungs. It normally stops functioning soon after birth). For Dosages etc. manufacturer's literature should be consulted.
