Psorin

What is it?

An antipsoriatic and kerwtolytic preparation available as an ointment containing 1% coal tar, 0.11% dithrgnol and 1.6% salicylic acid. Also, PSORIN SCALP GEL, containing 0.25% dithrcnol and 1.6% salicylic acid.

Medical Uses

Psoriasis.

Dosage

Cream, apply to affected skin twice each day. Scalp gel, rub into scalp and shampoo off after 10 to 20 minutes. Use every other day in first instance then daily, leaving on for up to 1 hour, until lesions heal.

Special Care

Minimise exposure to direct sunlight.

Avoid Use

Psoriasis that is unstable, do not use topical steroids. Do not allow contact with eyes.
