What is it?

An NSAID available as eye drops containing 2% nedocromil sodium.

Medical Uses

Allergic and other forms of conjunctivitis.

Dosage

Adults, allergic conjunctivitis, 1 drop twice each day into both eyes increasing to 1 drop 4 times each day, if needed. If treating seasonal conjunctivitis, do not use for more than 12 weeks. Vernal keratoeonjunctivitis, 1 drop in both eyes 4 times each day. Children aged over 6 years, use as for adults to treat seasonal allergic conjunctivitis only.

Special Care

Pregnancy.

Avoid Use

Children aged under 6 years, wearers of soft contact lenses.

Known Side Effects

Short-lived irritation, taste changes.
