Rhinocort Aqua

What is it?

A cgrticosteroid available as a metered pump nasal spray delivering 100µg of budesonide.

Medical Uses

Irritated, runny nose and sneezing (rhinitis) caused by allergic or other conditions, nasal polyps.

Dosage

Adults, rhinitis, start with 2 applications in each nostril every morning; 1 application fur maintenance. Polyps, 1 spray in both nostrils in the morning and at night, continuing for 3 months.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, infections of a fungal, viral or tuber culous nature, patients changing from systemic steroids. Long-term use with high doses may cause systemic effects or suppression of the adrenal glands. Systemic steroids maybe necessary in patients undergoing surgery or suffering from stress. Avoid used: children.

Known Side Effects

Slight bleeding, dryness, stinging, sneezing. In rare cases, widespread swelling due to fluid retention, hypersensitive reactions, raised intraocular pressure.
