Scopoderm
What is it?
An anti-emetic, anticholinergic preparation available as a self- adhesive pink patch containing 1.5mg of hyoscine.
Medical Uses
Motion sickness.
Dosage
Adults and children over 10 years, apply patch to clean, dry skin behind ear 5 to 6 hours before travelling. Replace after 72 hours with fresh patch behind other ear if needed and remove when travelling is finished.
Special Care
Pregnancy, elderly, liver or kidney disorders, obstruction of intestine, bladder or pyloric stenosis.
Avoid Use
Children under 10 years, breastfeeding, glaucoma.
Possible Drug and Food Interactions
Drugs affecting CNS, anticholinergics, alcohol.
Known Side Effects
Confusion, dry mouth, disturbance of vision, sleepiness, dizziness, dilation of pupils.
