Senokot

What is it?

A bowel stimulant available as brown tablets containing standardised senna equivalent to 7.5mg total sennosides, marked with sword and tablet name. Also, SENOKOT GRANULES, comprising standardised senna equivalent to 15mg total sennosides per 5ml spoonful; SENOKOT SYRUP, containing standardised senna equivalent to 7.5mg total sennosides per 5ml.

Medical Uses

Constipation.

Dosage

Adults, 2 to 4 tablets or 5 to 10ml spoonfuls of granules or 10 to 20ml of syrup; all doses taken at bedtime. Children, aged 2 to 6 years, 2.5 to 5ml of syrup; aged over 6 years, half adult dose. All doses to be taken in the morning.
