What is it?

An antibacterial preparation available as a cream containing 20% azelaic acid.

Medical Uses

Acne.

Dosage

Apply in the morning and evening to affected skin and rub in, maximum dose is 10g daily. Treatment should be continued according to response but for no more than 6 months.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, avoid eyes.

Known Side Effects

Sensitivity to light, local skin irritation. In rare cases, sensitivity to light, allergic skin reactions.
