What is it?

An hyaluronan available as a solution in pre-prepared syringes containing 10mg of sodium hyaluronate per ml.

Medical Uses

Periarthritis of the shoulder, osteoarthritis of the knee.

Dosage

Adults, 2.5ml by intra-articular injection once each week to a total of 5 injections. Course must not be repeated for at least 6 months.

Special Care

Previous liver disorders.

Avoid Use

Children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergy to bird proteins, inflammation or infection of skin at site of injection.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Other preparations injected intra-articularly.

Known Side Effects

Swelling and pain at injection site.
