Suscard Buccal
What is it?
A nitrate available as sustained-release tablets in 3 strengths containing 2mg, 3mg and 5mg of glyceryl trinitrate. Used for. congestive and acute heart failure, prevention and treatment of angina pectoris.
Dosage
Adults, heart failure, acute symptoms, 5mg repeated until symptoms subside; chronic, 5mg 3 times each day at first. Acute angina, 2mg for relief or same dose before stimulus liable to cause attack. Chronic, 2mg 3 times each day at first, increasing strength and frequency of dose, if necessary. All tablets should be placed on gum behind upper lip and allowed to dissolve.
Avoid Use
Children.

Flushes, headache. In rare cases, tooth decay.
