Tetabulin

What is it?

A preparation of tetanus immunoglobulin, as a solution in pre- prepared syringes containing 250iu of human tetanus antitoxin per ml.

Medical Uses

Tetanus immunisation.

Dosage

Adults and children, 1ml by intramuscular injection in patients who are at risk. If wound is over 12 hours old or contains dirt, or if patient weighs more than 90kg, a second dose is required.

Special Care

Patients with history of reactions to blood or blood products, those with IgA antibodies.
