What is it?

A tetracycline available as yellow/red capsules containing 408mg of lymecycline.

Medical Uses

Acne infections of the skin and soft tissue; ear, nose and throat or the respiratory tract.

Dosage

Adults, acne 1 capsule each day for a minimum of 2 months; other infections, 1 capsule twice daily.

Special Care

Impaired liver and function.

Avoid Use

Children, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Mineral supplements, antacids, oral contraceptives.

Known Side Effects

Superinfections, thrombocytopenia (decline in number of blood platelets causing bleeding), allergic reactions, gastro-intestinal upset.
