Ultraproct

What is it?

A steroid and local anaesthetic available as suppositories containing 0.61mg fluocortolone pivalate, 0.63mg fluocortolone hexanoate and 1mg of cinchocaine hydrochloride. Also, ULTRAPROCT OINTMENT, containing 0.092% fluocortolone pivalate, 0.095% fluocortolone hexanoate and 0.5% cinchocaine hydrochloride.

Medical Uses

Haemorrhoids, anal fissure, itching in anal and vulval region. Short-term treatment only.

Dosage

Suppositories, 1, 1 to 3 each day, for 5 to 7 days; ointment, use 2 to 4 times each day.

Special Care

Pregnancy. Do not use for a long period.

Avoid Use

Infections of a viral, fungal or tuberculous nature.

Known Side Effects

Systemic corticosteroid effects.
