Ventmax SR

What is it?

A bronchodilator and selective Bz-agonist available as sustained- release capsules in 2 strengths containing 4mg and 8mg of salbutamol as sulphate.

Medical Uses

Bronchospasm in asthma.

Dosage

Adults, 8mg twice each day; children, aged 3 to 12 years, 4mg twice each day.

Special Care

Pregnancy, high bloodpressure, weak heart, overactive thy roid gland, angina, heart arrhythmias.

Avoid Use

Children aged under 3 years.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Sympathomimetics.

Known Side Effects

Headache, fine tremor, nerv ous tension, dilation of peripheral blood vessels, paradoxical bronchospasm.
