Ventodisks
What is it?
A bronchodilator, anti-inflammatory preparation which is a selective 132-agonist, available as light blue disks of 200µg strength and dark blue disks of 400µg strength, containing salbutamol as sulphate. Both are marked with strength and name.
Medical Uses
Acute bronchospasm occurring in bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma; prevention of exercise- induced or allergen-induced bronchospasm.
Dosage
Adults, acute attack, 200 or 400µg as one dose; prevention, 400µg taken 10 to 15 minutes before exposure or challenge. Maximum daily dose is 400µg, 4 times each day. Children, acute attack, 200µg as single dose; prevention, half the dose of adult, taken in same way. Maximum dose is 200µg 4 times each da}:

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, toxicity of thyroid gland.
Possible Drug and Food Interactions
13-bloekers.
Known Side Effects
Headache, dilation of peripheral blood vessels, low blood potassium levels, rapid heartbeat, fine tremor, paradoxical bronchospasm.
