Voltarol Emulgel

What is it?

An NSAID available as an aqueous gel containing 1.16g of diclofenac diethyl-ammonium salt (equivalent to lg of diclofenac sodium).

Medical Uses

Soft tissue rheumatism, osteoarthritis of superficial joints, strains, sprains, bruises.

Dosage

Adults, 2 to 4g rubbed into area 3 to 4 times each day. Review use after2 weeks, (4 weeks in case of osteoarthritis.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding.

Avoid Use

Children, allergy to aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Other NSAIDs.

Known Side Effects

Itching, dermatitis, redden ing of skin, hypersensitivity, sensitiv ity to light.
