What is it?
An antihistamine preparation available as film-coated, oval, white tablets containing 5mg of levocetirizine, marked Y.
Medical Uses
Hayfever, perennial rhinitis (persistent hayfever occurring at all times of year), chronic urticaria (allergic nettlerash).
Dosage
Adults and children aged over 6 years, 1 tablet each day swallowed whole.
Special Care
Pregnancy, impaired kidney function.
Avoid Use
Children aged under 6 years, breastfeeding, severe impairment of kidney function.
Known Side Effects
Dry mouth, runny nose and sneezing, sleepiness, migraine, tiredness. Any adverse side effects should be reported to the Committee on the Safety of Medicines (CSM).
