Carboy Pharmacy Symbol

The carboy (from the Persian, meaning large flagon), is a glass vessel with a globular base that tapers upwards to a narrow neck. From the 18th century, this type of vessel was often filled with brightly coloured liquids and displayed in pharmacy shop windows, and since then has become a symbol of pharmacy.
