The Green Cross Pharmacy Symbol

The Green Cross symbol was introduced in the early 20th century as a replacement for the Red Cross in continental European countries such as Belgium, Italy, France and Spain.

The cross was adopted in 1984 by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain as a standard symbol for British pharmacy.
