Clinical Pharmacy Practices

Clinical pharmacists provide direct patient care services that promotes disease prevention, health and wellness, and optimises the use of medication. Although the clinical pharmacy movement initially began in hospitals and clinics, clinical pharmacists can provide care for patients in all health care settings, and are an integral part of the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. They often collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to improve pharmaceutical care, and may take part in drug product selection and patient care rounds.
