Also known as an Animal Pharmacy, veterinary pharmacy practices stock different strengths and varieties of medications to fulfil the pharmaceutical needs of animals. They may fall in the category of hospital pharmacy, retail pharmacy or mail-order pharmacy. Because the regulations on veterinary medicine and the needs of animals are often very different from those related to people, veterinary pharmacy is often kept separate from regular pharmacies.
